Bunnies on a picnic
These little bunnies on a picnic sold last spring so could be in the shops somewhere....let me know if you see them : ) (copyright is with the buyer). If only we could go on a picnic! Thinking about it, this river is probably flooded now, could be a soggy day out.

School website illustration
Working with PrimarySite I have now illustrated my first school website with animations on it. Have a look at the site here, it was fun to animate the kids ringing bells and blinking! I also made the blackbirdy fly... I really enjoyed designing this one.

Childrens Food Trust Illustrations

Over the past year I have been working with Learning Pool to create illustrations for The Childrens' Food Trust. These are being used on their website which promotes healthy eating in schools. Here's some of the artwork I've done. This module was looking at secondary school and the different ways teens deal with lunchtimes.Monday, 30 September 2013
School Website
Primary Site have just gone live with another website I illustrated for them... have a look here. I am pleased with this one. I'm working on another school site too and doing some animation for it, just simple things like kids ringing the school bell... I'm using Photoshop to make these (GIF files) and its a simple process, much more basic than Flash really, although not as sophisticated.

Pumpkin Patch
Here are 3 of my designs that made it to the high street, this time in Pumpkin Patch. I'm pleased with the way they have used them - look pretty cool! I just want
to see them in the shop myself now, to get a closer look.

Illustrations for e-learning
During the past month or two, I've been working on more illustrations and graphics for Learning Pool. The project is called 'Adults at Risk' an e-learning package, the illustrations are peppered throughout the script content, giving the reader a visual aid for learning. You can see more of these illustrations on my website.

Owls branch out
Rainbow Crafts are now stocking the Makower owl fabric I designed. Good to see it being sold in lots of different places! Its a shame my Gran isn't around she was a collector of owls so would have loved to make something crafty using this fabric.

Bear in Boots
Here is my chubby bear in a car, I found him in Boots mini club. They have changed a few of the
background elements from my original design. They have also added him to a baby grow set, which is very cute.
Filipa found my hiking fox with the little deer, also in Boots mini club. Thanks for the photos!

New quilting designs for Makower uk

I've recently been working on a new group of designs for Makower uk. This is a fairy group which will be printed onto cotton and used for quilting fabrics. Each group takes a lot of work and consultation with the team at Makower uk. But its worth it for the end result. I think this group turned out well, so I hope it looks good when it comes back from the printers!

Illustrations for E Learning

For the past few months I have been working on a really exciting illustration project for a new client, Learning Pool. I've produced illustrations based around scripts, in a comic strip format. These illustrations will be used as part of a package of e-learning for social workers. The subject matter has been quite disturbing, mainly concerning the welfare of children, however the illustrations have been a joy to do.
These images are a snapshot of the work that I've done on the project. A big thank you to Rachel, one of the script writers, for recommending my work to Learning Pool!

Owls

Owls have been a lifelong favourite of mine, so when I was asked to design a whole range for Makower uk I was delighted! Here is a peek preview for you to see. Along side the owls sit a range of patterns, including birds butterflies and flowers. These designs will be printed onto cotton and then distributed to retailers.

Nice cup of tea

Hooray, I am very pleased today, as istock have accepted my very first animation!
I did the Adobe Flash animation course a while ago, and recently I have needed to use my flash skills again for an E-learning client illustration project. I really enjoy using it but getting anything past the tough inspectors at istock is always tricky, so this is cause for celebration.....cup of tea anyone!?

Designs for quilt makers

During the past few months I have been designing for a new client, Makower Uk who make fabrics for the quilting market. Its been steep learning curve!! It is very different to making quick and quirky ideas for the fashion market. Everything needs to be a lot more considered and well rendered. Saying that they were very pleased with the first batch of designs we did, with an afternoon tea theme. Now the samples are going to be printed up in Korea, and the boss has promised me a quilt made up in my range! If that does happen I will post a picture for sure!
